Guess who's back? The return of pajama dressing, so Marlene Dietrich and we love it! While this look can translate to super, sultry, cool, it has to be pulled together in just the right way. The look should be sexy yet structured, with impeccable tailoring. When the pajama look is done right, your overall appearance should say comfortable, elegant, chic, not "I just rolled out of bed with my PJ's on" and it's also definitely not a lingerie look which can come off as trashy. Creating this look is pretty easy if you stick to the "PJ's as Style" rules, here goes:
- High end fabric are a must when creating the pajama look, such as glossy skin-soft silks or satins
- Stick with the basics> shirts, shorts and trousers. These basics will also help keep the sexy yet tailored element to the look
- Pretty neutrals such a beiges, grays, whites and blacks work well for colors and are effortlessly timeless.
- Pair the pajama shirts with pencil skirts or full ball gowns. Pair the trousers or shorts with a really nice fitted structured top and then add a strand of pearls to really take it up a notch.
We hope these tips help on your journey to silky smooth pajama dressing.
Our Confession: Silk Pajama pants with a fitted tank and fedora and a really cool pair of wedges!
